New Audio Tour and Updated Map to Be Launched in Time for Summer Travel

Visit Hershey & Harrisburg will join friends of the arts in Harrisburg to unveil new destination resources including a new interactive walking audio tour along with updated trifold maps for the Harrisburg Arts District helping kick off Summer discovery throughout the City. They will also share an update for a four-year Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Creative Communities Grant to support placemaking initiatives.
Updated maps include exciting new additions to the downtown arts scene like Coronet Park and Capital City Music Hall. The updated materials also include more of Riverfront Park to highlight the monuments, gardens, and places of interest that helped to shape the city and its arts & culture landscape. Audio tours dive deeper into the artists, sculptors, and historical moments connected to art and architecture.
Why It Matters
Updated Resources: The printed map and free mobile application bring into focus the wide variety of arts & culture offerings in Harrisburg. As a destination marketing organization, we want guests and locals alike to have the best tools to discover the arts in the Capital City. Showcasing more than 50 murals and monuments, more than 20 theatres, performance venues, museums, and art galleries, and a full calendar of events, the Harrisburg Arts District is a destination to be creative, engaged, and entertained.
Revitalization: As community stakeholders work through downtown revitalization plans, ongoing destination marketing efforts remind visitors and locals that Harrisburg is alive with things to do right here, right now.
