The PSFCA Big 33 is proud to announce the 5th Annual Big 33 Buddy Program Mini Golf and Buddy Day, taking place Sunday, October 19th from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Sports Emporium in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This special event is generously sponsored by UPMC and held in memory of former Big 33 Buddy, Sandra St. John. Upon her passing, Sandra graciously included the Big 33 in her will, and this annual event was created to honor her legacy of kindness and support.
This fun-filled afternoon is open to all current and past Big 33 Buddies and their families, as well as new families with children who have special needs. Participants will enjoy mini golf, arcade games, food, and fellowship—a wonderful opportunity to connect with other Buddy families and celebrate inclusion and friendship.
Once again, a local high school football team, the Boiling Springs Bubblers, will join the event, sharing the day with Buddies, helping with activities, and forming meaningful new friendships.
The Big 33 Buddy Program, established in 1985, pairs individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with Big 33 athletes, cheerleaders, and the local community. What began as a game-week connection has grown into a year-round program filled with special events that continue to strengthen bonds and create lifelong memories.
In addition, the Big 33 Buddy Gift Program provides year-round support to Buddy families by addressing individual needs and offering assistance for special circumstances. Through this program, the PSFCA Big 33 will award up to $1,000 per family to help fulfill specific requests — whether it’s for adaptive equipment, medical needs, educational tools, or experiences that enhance their quality of life.

Funds raised through Big 33 events help support the Big 33 Buddy Program, which connects individuals with special needs to all-star athletes in football, cheerleading, and beyond. The PSFCA Big 33 Football Classic Presented by Renewal by Andersen of Central PA will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Cumberland County, Pa.
