LM Gnazzo Promotion Strategies offers clients, large and small, with exceptional and complete promotional services, outstanding customer service and innovative ideas, based on years of valuable experience.
Gnazzo is an accomplished public relations professional and well-respected advisor and strategist, who has spent over 25 years dedicated to communications, marketing, government relations, special events, and initiative development in the Central Pennsylvania region, as well as statewide and nationally.
Prior to running her own business, her career was spent working as a senior level advisor to Pennsylvania leaders including former Governors Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker, First Lady Michele Ridge, the late Speaker of the House Matthew J. Ryan, Congressman Joe Pitts, Secretary of Health Dr. Calvin Johnson, Physician General Dr. Rob Muscalus and the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
Throughout her service in state government, Gnazzo aided in the launch and development of the Governor’s Task Force on Early Childhood Care and Education, working with the late Fred Rogers and Chair Marilyn Ware. As part of Gov. Ridge’s senior staff, she became the project leader on the comprehensive early childhood development initiative "I Am Your Child Campaign," collaborating closely with Actor/Producer Rob Reiner’s Foundation. She worked on the national advancement of State Cancer Plans with the National Dialogue on Cancer, headed by former President and First Lady George and Barbara Bush. In addition, she partnered with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell through "America’s Promise" to combat youth violence in the state. Her work continued with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism’s "Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol Free" with governor’s spouses throughout the country to combat underage drinking and substance abuse. In addition, she managed various other significant state and national projects.
Along with First Lady Michele Ridge, she worked tirelessly to bolster Pennsylvania’s achievements through the National Governors' Association and national organizations, receiving national recognition for their work in building statewide research-based youth violence prevention and with underage drinking education and outreach strategies, acclaimed family literacy programs and public library funding. Gnazzo assisted in the creation and launch of the Governor’s Community Partnership for Safe Children, a first-ever statewide community-based initiative that seeks to combat violence by and against youth by reducing risk factors. As Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to the First Lady, she managed all initiatives undertaken by Mrs. Ridge, as well as the staff at The Governor’s Residence, and became the First Family’s spokesperson.
Involved in various cancer education and fundraising events, Gnazzo teamed up with Mrs. Ridge to promote cancer screening, prevention and research, as well as passage of key legislative proposals. Their support helped launch the first “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” sponsored by the American Cancer Society, as well as numerous projects undertaken by the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
Over the years, she aided House and Senate leaders in the area of public relations and special commemorations, such as the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, the Battle of Gettysburg 125th Anniversary Commission, and Pres. Eisenhower’s 100th Birthday Anniversary. In addition, she hosted and helped launch a statewide public affairs program on cable television featuring the state’s lawmakers. She served as a senior press aide on Governor Tom Ridge’s initial campaign for Governor and later became communications director for his first Inaugural, managing the needs of hundreds of media outlets, serving as a spokesperson, and planning live programs and events.
Prior to working for the Commonwealth, Gnazzo focused on public relations for the PA Bar Association. She started her professional career as a television producer for public station WITF-TV, where she produced award-winning local and statewide public affairs programs, as well as numerous live broadcasts.
Gnazzo stays very involved in her local community, where she currently serves as a Board Member and Public Relations - Media Committee Chair for The Lion Foundation of Camp Hill, which raised over $1.2 million for the students and community. She also volunteers in her children’s schools and in the past enjoyed assisting their Girl Scout Troops, the Toys For Tots Giving Parade, and launching Camp Hill’s Relay for Life, among other things.
